aurora-massage-smlThe Heavens Mountain Escape is an exclusive, secluded retreat, located high up on the side of Barrengarry Mountain, just below the rugged escarpment that surrounds the beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Our guests tell us that The Heavens rates amongst the best accommodation that Australia has to offer. Why not see for yourselves?

With three luxuriously appointed private cottages, set on 160 acres, The Heavens offers you privacy, seclusion and unrivaled views of the valley below. The Heavens is the perfect accommodation choice for couples looking for a romantic getaway, honeymoon or relaxing holiday to rekindle the romance in their relationship.

The property is also home to an ever growing herd of alpacas, our friendly Boer goat and kids and local celebrity Kevin Bacon, our pig who enjoys daily walks in the village and frequents our local cafes with our dogs. Our beautiful native wildlife freely grazes on the vast acres of lawns around the cottages. There are regular visits from eastern grey kangaroos, common wallaroos, common wombats after dark, echidnas in spring and shy swamp wallabies dash into the gullies as you drive past. The endangered eastern quoll lives in the untouched bush slightly higher up the mountain above the cottages, however you would be very lucky to see one of those.

Male satin bower birds collect their blue objects to decorate their bowers to attract the ladies of the species and whip birds call from the many acres of untouched bush on the property. Kookaburras dive onto their unsuspecting prey in the middle of the paddocks. A bird watcher’s paradise.

You can spend your time here relaxing on the sun lounges in summer and taking in the magnificent view, snuggle up on the sofa in front of the gas log fire in winter or you could partake in one of the many activities in and around the historic village of Kangaroo Valley.

The choice is yours, you can do as little or as much as you wish.
